Zimbabwean exiles to protest in solidarity with ‘#ShutdownZimbabwe’ campaign

The Zimbabwe Vigil and its sister organisation the Restoration of Human Rights in Zimbabwe (ROHR) and other Zimbabweans in the UK will be demonstrating in solidarity with the '#ShutdownZimbabwe' campaign on Wednesday and Thursday 13th and 14th July.

Vigil-salutes-TajamukaWe will be outside the Zimbabwe Embassy in London from 12 noon – 2 pm on both days. The campaign has been organised by ‘#ThisFlag’. We are also protesting against the arrest of its leader Evan Mawarire on trumped-up charges of fomenting violence. Many of the demonstrators will be wearing Zimbabwean flags.
Zimbabwe Vigil Co-ordinators
The Vigil, outside the Zimbabwe Embassy, 429 Strand, London, takes place every Saturday from 14.00 to 18.00 to protest against gross violations of human rights in Zimbabwe. The Vigil which started in October 2002 will continue until internationally-monitored, free and fair elections are held in Zimbabwe. http:/www.zimvigil.co.uk.
