Ironically, the reporter who is based in Mutare, was arrested at Mutare Central Police station where he had gone to report the threat.
Mukodza, however, had also filed an earlier report claiming the reporter had insulted him. Munayiti was subsequently arrested and detained at the police station on charges of criminal insult.
He was expected to appear in court on 19 February 2013.
